I had a very loud hum in my speaker. Thats a Bally Fathom.
After reading Marvin3m I had decided to replace many of de caps in my
soundboard.
But gues what… I made a modification on the solenoid driverboard:
connecting the negative lead of the big capacitor C23 to the trace right
below it (ground?) (as described by Marvin).
The loud hum was completely gone. Read again: completely. First I thougt I
screwed up again. But everything is working perfect! I crawled under the
cabinet and put my ear to the speaker and (to my relief) I could hear
something humming far far away.
So problem solved, easy!
Anyone else had the same experience?
